Salesforce.com for Reference Labs?
Salesforce for Reference Labs was created to leverage the power of Salesforce.com and tailor it specifically for reference laboratories and hospital pathology departments. Put simply, we wanted to create a tool that helped sales reps easily understand how and what customers buy.
Salesforce for Reference Labs does this by extracting test details from your internal Laboratory Information System (LIS) and then calculating “roll-ups” by Test, Test Family, Physician, Territory, and Division.
These trends are calculated at the physician, facility, and test level so that users can quickly see where a relationship is going while at the same time having access to relationship history and visit history. By telling salespeople a story about their customer they immediately understand the trends that affect the ordering patterns of their customers.
This “story” makes it easy to identify problems as they begin to occur and allows users to take action to prevent declining accounts and maintain relationships.
Salesforce for Reference Lab has been standardized to work with any LIS system by simplifying the format we use to receive data from external systems. This helps simplify the integration which translates into very fast implementations and lower costs.
Accessing LIS data is obviously not new but by making is very easy and simple to integrate valuable test data quickly and combining it with the global leader in sales tools, Salesforce.com, allows our Reference Lab customers to implement a tool that is relevant and easy to use.
